He focuses on a long-term exchange with crowd workers to highlight the decontextualized practices that these images undergo during their tagging and/or description, so that they become data for machine learning. The lecture also presents experimental methodologies with images and humans that Moreschi has been testing for at least five years in an attempt to speculate new ways of training machines with visual content.

Bruno Moreschi is a researcher, visual artist and filmmaker. PhD in Arts at the State University of Campinas (Brazil), with passage at the Uniarts (Finland). Moreschi is currently a researcher at the Collegium Helveticum (joint Institute for Advanced Studies of ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich, and the Zurich University of the Arts) and at The Leuphana Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS) at Leuphana University. His investigations are related to the deconstruction of systems and the decoding of procedures and social practices in the fields of the arts, museums, visual culture and technology. Projects recognized by grants, exhibitions and institutions such as ZKM, Van Abbemuseum, 33rd São Paulo Art Biennial, Cambridge University and Bauhaus Fellowship.

https://brunomoreschi.com

THU 02.05.2024 | 6pm

Lecture by Bruno Moreschi about his artistic practice and research on hidden labor in the context of AI systems as part of the IBK-lecture series.

[3,1

post-817","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-dates","category-uncategorized
["GET
