Susana Pilar Delahante Matienzo<\/strong> is one of the most interesting contemporary Cuban artists, engaging with performative and media practices. She will be in Vienna to present a performance in public space as part of the exhibition TOUCH THE REALITY. RETHINKING KEYWORDS OF POLITICAL PERFORMANCE<\/strong> which takes place at Kunstraum Nieder\u00f6sterreich. Her lecture will engage with her recent practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Susana Pilar Delahante Matienzo lives and works in Havana City, Cuba. Between 2011 and 2013 she attended a Postgraduate course in New Media, Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG) with a DAAD Scholarship, Germany. Between 1998 and 2008 she studied at the Elemental school of Visual Art \u201cJos\u00e9 Antonio D\u00edaz Pelaez\u201d, the Fine Arts Academy \u201cSan Alejandro\u201d and the High Institute of Arts (ISA) in Havana, Cuba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her work has been shown in numerous international exhibitions (selection):
